Skin boosters improve the quality of your skin across an area rather than adding volume in one place, working on hydration, firmness and elasticity from within. They suit skin that has thinned and lost its bounce.

How it works

Skin boosters use hyaluronic acid at high concentration, produced through techniques that allow it to spread through the tissue rather than staying where it is placed. Once injected, it draws in and holds water, hydrating the skin from within, and it stimulates the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. The skin becomes stronger, better hydrated and more elastic across the whole treated area.

What to expect

Treatment takes around twenty minutes, placed through a small number of injection points across the area. Two treatments four weeks apart form the initial course. Results build progressively, with visible improvement after each treatment and the full effect developing over the weeks that follow. Downtime is minimal, and injection points may look red and slightly swollen for a short period.

How long it lasts

Expect six to twelve months of benefit after the initial course, varying between individuals. Many people return for a maintenance treatment to keep it going. We were among the first clinics in the North West to offer Profhilo, one of the best known treatments of this kind.

Cost

Skin boosters start from £375. Consultations with Dr Patel are £25, paid when you book. NHS staff receive 20% off a first treatment and 10% off treatments thereafter.
