Acne and Acne Scarring Treatment

Acne responds well to medical treatment, even when creams and antibiotics have not worked. We treat active acne and the scarring left behind using laser, pulsed light, medical peels and prescribed skincare, in whatever combination suitshf your skin. Acne affects around nine in ten teenagers at some point, and for many people it continues into adult life. Most people who come to us have already worked through the shelf at the chemist and a course or two of antibiotics. The encouraging part is that acne responds well to medical treatment.

Acne scarring

Scarring is often what remains once active acne settles, and it responds to treatment in its own right. The Regenlite laser stimulates collagen in the deeper layers, filling and softening pitted scarring over time. Improvement develops across months rather than overnight, and this steady change is what makes results look natural.

Beyond antibiotics

Long term antibiotic use is something many people would rather move away from, and it is not always effective. Laser and light treatment works directly on the skin instead. Because our Medical Director is a practising GP, we can look at the whole picture with you, including where skincare and topical treatment fit alongside laser.

Frequently asked questions

This depends on the severity of your acne. Some people notice a marked difference after one session, most need several, and we will give you a realistic number at your consultation.

Very little. Some redness or warmth on the day is normal and settles quickly, and most people carry on with their day straight after an appointment.

Yes, and these are often treated in sequence, settling the active acne first and then working on the scarring. Skin peels and microneedling can also contribute, and we will talk through which combination suits your skin.

Yes, and we treat young people regularly. Anyone aged 18 or under has their consultation with Dr Patel, our Medical Director, and treatment afterwards can be booked with one of our nurses. Appointments are private throughout.
