Both treatments prompt your own skin to rebuild itself, producing new collagen rather than adding anything to the face. The results are gradual and natural, which suits people who want better skin rather than a visible intervention.
- Stimulates your own collagen production

Microneedling
A device passes very fine needles across the skin, creating tiny controlled channels in the upper layers. These are small enough to close quickly, and they prompt the skin to respond as it would to any injury, by producing collagen and elastin. As that new collagen forms over the following weeks, texture improves, scarring softens, pores appear smaller and fine lines reduce.
PRP
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma, and it uses your own blood as the treatment. A small sample is taken, then spun in a centrifuge to separate out the plasma, which is rich in platelets and the growth factors that drive healing throughout your body. That concentrated plasma is then reintroduced into the skin, stimulating collagen production and supporting repair.
Combining the two
Microneedling and PRP work well together. The microneedling creates the channels, and the PRP is applied so those growth factors reach deeper into the skin. Each supports what the other is doing. Both build gradually, with improvement developing over the months following a course as new collagen forms, which is what makes the change look like good skin rather than a treatment.
Cost
Microneedling starts from £299 and PRP from £299. Consultations with Dr Patel are £25, paid when you book. NHS staff receive 20% off a first treatment and 10% off treatments thereafter.

It uses your own blood, so there is no risk of allergic reaction. We check your medical history at consultation, as PRP is not suitable for everyone.
Combining them is common and often gives a better result than either alone.
